The first contact of all the partners came in the early 2022, when the project leader, ID20 from Idrija, approached both Gotická cesta and Herculane teams with a vision of cooperation. The project had been submitted in spring 2022 and eventually approved by the end of the year.
The first part of the implementation phase was a kick-off partners' project meeting in Idrija, Slovenia. The event was held during a weekend on the 21st and the 22nd of January 2023 in the presence of representatives of all three sides. Two days full of getting to know each other, exploring the work of ID20 in Idrija and going through the whole process of our next two years cooperation on the project. The kick-off meeting was successful, as we planned our roadmap for all of our 5 milestones of the project and decided about the means of communication, teamwork planning and medialization of our collaboration.
Overall, there is 2 more in-person project meetings planned over the period of the project, a number of online follow-ups and of course, volunteer activities in each country. Those will consist of manual work on the heritage sites of all partners.
